Student Information & Handbook
A student Information Handbook detailing the company’s policies & procedures is available to students upon commencement of training programs.
Selection, Enrolment & Orientation
Programs cater for immigrants who have established their small business enterprise in Australia. A registration form is completed and initial registration fee is payable at enrolment. Staff will provide an orientation of program requirements and the venue facilities.
Fees and Refunds
The company will refund any pre paid fees if a program does not commence as scheduled. Special consideration will be granted to applicants unable to take up the training due to personal hardship or other circumstances.
Language & Literacy Assessment Support
Training clients are offered English language assistance during training programs by IBBT’s qualified bi-lingual facilitators. A” Fair Go” policy will ensure clients with limited English literacy, language or numeracy are not disadvantaged.
Flexible Delivery & Assessment
A variety of flexible delivery styles are available including classroom format, long distance learning or on the job training. Learning tasks use case studies, role plays, simulated events, group work, discussions, projects or workplace visits. Competency Based Assessments are used in accordance with Nationally Accredited Principles of validity, reliability, flexibility, sufficiency and fairness.
Client Appeal & Grievances
Students can lodge an appeal against any assessment outcome to be reviewed for validity, consistency, fairness or equity. Students are encouraged to notify a company staff member about any concerns or problems experienced during a training program.
Access and Equity
Company employees, trainers or contractors will treat all persons fairly and equitably by fully observing and respecting all of the requirements of The Anti Discrimination Act 1977 which prohibits any harassment or discrimination.
Training Staff Qualifications
IBBT trainers are qualified and experienced adult educators having experience in running their own small business or acting as an adviser to small business. They are carefully selected to ensure delivery of high quality education, client care and support.
Recognition of Prior Learning & Mutual Recognition
Students who have completed modules or units of competency from nationally accredited programs can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning. Skills may have been acquired through structured training or on the job workplace experience. IBBT acknowledges the credentials issued by other nationally registered training organisations.
Occupational Health & Safety
The company and its staff are committed to abide by the OHS legislation by providing a safe training environment and practicing safe work practice at all times. Facilities, equipment and training venues are compliant with the Occupational Health & Safety Standards of Australia.
Disciplinary Procedures
The company requires all staff and contractors to abide by the relevant AQTF Standards of Accreditation. Any breach of these standards will be addressed by the CEO who is responsible for continuous quality management. Staff performance is regularly reviewed to ensure excellent levels of customer service, training delivery and assessment.
