The multiple roles of the small business owner/manager are recognised in the design of this course. Owner/managers can be the operative, the supervisor, the manager or the owner;
in some businesses, the one person may carry out all of these roles.
The course addresses the training requirements of both the manager of a small business and the proprietor of a small business and also includes the technical skills which underpin these roles. The focus is on management and profitability of the business and the breadth of functions the owner/manager has to perform within the context of the life-cycle stage of his/her business.
