IBBT was formed in response to the evident needs of non- English speaking communities and small business operators in Australia. People from non-English speaking backgrounds face barriers to participation because of English language and cultural issues.
Vocational research shows that small business owners do not participate in their own professional development because:
- education programs often lack quality and relevance to SME's
- training courses are inflexible and costly in time and resources
- poor management practice often results in commercial disadvantage and business failure
IBBT has been successful in meeting the learning needs of SME’s and works in conjunction with State and Commonwealth government agencies. In the recent period, the company’s services have expanded to include International Study Tours and Business Migrant Induction Programs for business migrants to Australia.
